A few years ago I was commissioned by a book editor with the project to make a book about marble. I was flowned to several location as Portugal or Italia to visit marble quarries.

The project never came to its final end but the pictures are and from those visits I worked two series of images.

This one showcases the work of marble in the workshops.

In the first part of this project, I focused on the work in the pits and on the scale of quarries Vs workers.

The marble extracted is intended to be shipped all over the world and to be used in architectural or art project.
