A few years ago I was commissioned by a book editor with the project to make a book about marble. I was flowned to several location as Portugal or Italia to visit marble quarries.

The project never came to its final end but the pictures are and from those visits I worked two series of images.

This one showcases the gigantism of the quarries and put in perspective the scale of those pits in the ground. Mens becomes ants, heavy equipments looks like toys.

In the second part of this project, I focused on the work of mens, in the quarries and in the factories.

The marble extracted is intended to be shipped all over the world and to be used in architectural or art project.
